  • Repeat Prescriptions

    Repeat prescriptions for patients on long term treatment can be ordered via online patient services or in writing via the wooden box in the surgery foyer. We do not accept third party prescription requests or requests via email or telephone. We use the Electronic Prescribing Services (EPS) as do all our local pharmacies.

    We offer a mix of pre-book and on-the-day urgent appointments. Pre-book appointments can be made up to a month in advance by speaking to a receptionist. Appointments for GPs, our minor injury / illness clinic and phlebotomist (blood tests) can also be made via online patient services.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 7th APRIL 2020

Good Friday & Easter Monday have now been identified as normal working days for GP surgeries. We will offer patients a telephone GP service on both days. Please call the surgery in the usual way should you need assistance. This will be a morning service for routine GP telephone consultations. One of our GPs will run an urgent triage clinic in the afternoons

SOUTHMEAD SURGERY is now in a phase of lock-down due to the COVID-19 pandemic to protect vulnerable patients and health care staff.

The majority of consultations will take place over the phone.

 

You will NOT be allowed access into the building unless you have a pre-booked face-to-face appointment that has been agreed with a clinician on the phone.

 

If you have a pre-booked appointment please wait OUTSIDE or in your car – you will be collected or called when we are ready to see you.  We will take your temperature before allowing you into the building.

 

If you are dropping off a prescription request – please post it through the letter box on the side door (left hand side of building).

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER YOUR MEDICATION MORE THAN 14 DAYS IN ADVANCE, IT WILL BE REJECTED & THE REQUEST KEPT UNTIL IT IS DUE. 

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER INHALERS IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD ONE IN THE LAST YEAR.

 

ALL prescriptions will be sent directly to the chemist – you will NOT be allowed into the building to collect a prescription. If you have not nominated a chemist it will be sent to Lloyds in Farnham Common as the default.

 

If you would like to book an appointment to speak to a doctor please PHONE reception on 01753-643195. You will NOT be allowed into the building to make an appointment.

 

All letter correspondence will either be emailed or posted out to you – you will NOT be allowed into the building to collect paperwork.
